The purpose of this program is to enhance the clinician's ability to provide male reproductive health care in the family planning setting. Video includes demonstrations of conducting the patient history and a detailed, step-by-step male genital examination. The review of reproductive anatomy and disorders includes detailed diagrams and numerous color photos. A great resource for agencies or individual clinicians starting male services – especially helpful when coupled with its companion “Training Manual: Male Reproductive Healthcare in the Title X Clinic”. Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
Correctly identify detailed external and internal male reproductive anatomy when provided diagrams.
Outline the components of a comprehensive health history for the male patient.
Describe the components and sequence of the physical examination of the male genitalia.
Describe 5 common male genital defects or disorders, their evaluation and treatment.
This self-directed learning activity is provided on a single DVD containing the 1.5 hour chaptered video presentation, printable program handouts and continuing education application. Target audience is clinicians, although the information may be useful to other clinic staff providing male services. Up to 2.0 Continuing Nursing Education contact hours are available for a $10 application fee until September 30, 2008. Interested participants may apply and pay online or by mail. Persons who received CNE credit for participating in the live or archived webcast version of this program are not eligible for CNE through this self study DVD program.
